First to Read Synopsis:
Raina Anand may have finally given in to family pressure and agreed to let her grandmother play matchmaker, but that doesn't mean she has to like it--or that she has to play by the rules. Nani always took Raina's side when she tried to push past the traditional expectations of their tight-knit Indian-immigrant community, but now she's ambushing Raina with a list of suitable bachelors. Is it too much to ask for a little space? Besides, what Nani doesn't know won't hurt her...

As Raina's life spirals into a parade of Nani-approved bachelors and disastrous blind dates, she must find a way out of this modern-day arranged-marriage trap without shattering her beloved grandmother's dreams.

My Review:
I went into this one thinking it would be a sort of fluffy romance, but it isn't really that. This is more of a standing your ground kind of story, and I appreciated that.

Was there romance? Sure. Was it sometimes not believable? Yes. Did I read the heck of out it? You be.

Raina is a tough girl. Truly. She's been raised by her Nani because her mom is a hot mess. And Nani, well, Nani just wants what's best for Raina. Rather, what she thinks is best for Raina. What Nani wants for Raina is a husband.

Raina agrees to let Nani set her up on dates. What she doesn't know is that Nani is also on an Indian dating website and is kind of running her mouth all over the Indian community.

I liked Raina, though she could be a little rough sometimes. She was kind of selfish, but I think that came with her growing up without a mother and wanting to forge her own path. There's a point where I got really angry at her and her actions, but I know she learned from it. It might be hard for others to see past it, however.

A quick, kind of fun read with a swoony boy. Check it out.
