(Review) Suffer Love

Image
Suffer Love by Ashley Herring Blake Publication Date: May 3, 2016 Pages:  357 (kindle) Genre: Young Adult My Goodreads Rating:  4 stars Goodreads Synopsis: Sam Bennett falls for Hadley St. Clair before he knows her last name. When Sam finds out she is that St. Clair, daughter of the man who destroyed Sam’s family, he has a choice: follow his heart or tell the truth about the scandal that links their families. Funny and passionate, Suffer Love is a story about first love, family dysfunction, and the fickle hand of fate. My Review: I may have had this book on my TBR list for a while (honestly, there are so many I lose track) and so when I saw something on Twitter about Suffer Love  being $2.99 I grabbed it.  Hadley's life is a lot different than it was six months ago. Six months ago everything was normal. Now, her parents are estranged, she barely speaks to them, and she also has a reputation for fooling around with a lot  of guys.  Sam's in a new town and

(Reread Write Up) Anna and the French Kiss

Books and movies have always been my comfort. Well, that and napping. Even since I was a little kid those were the things I loved when I was sick.  I've been home with the flu since Thursday and, while it isn't the terribleawfulgross flu, it sucks. Obviously I've been keeping myself busy with books (if you follow this blog of me on Goodreads, you'd know), but today I wanted something that I knew I was going to love.  So I went with an old favorite that I knew would be perfect and make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I definitely have a sweet spot for St. Clair so seeing him again (after knowing how their story ends) was so much fun. I love how well he and Anna just fit . I think since you only read Anna'a point of view in the story you think that sometimes her feelings are one-sided, so you almost feel sorry for her. St. Clair, or Étienne, as she comes to call him is charismatic and charming...not to mention totally unavailable.  Despite her

The Sun is Also a Star  by Nicole Yoon Publication Date: Novembe 1, 2016 Pages: 384 (kindle) Genre: Young Adult My Goodreads Rating:  3 stars Goodreads Synopsis: Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story. Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store—for both of us. The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true? My Review:  This was a cute bo
