My Review:

This is a decent book, I just didn't like it. I think that the actual writing was done very well. The visualization and emotions of this story are real and raw, but it just didn't do it for me. 

Elsie is a complex character. She's selfish and lonely. Sex is her emotional outlet but when she finds someone who cares about her she throws it away for her abusive ex-boyfriend. 

I couldn't ever get a grasp on Elsie's narrative. The story bounced back and forth from place to place with what seemed like no real timeline. 

Like I said, the writing was good, but the story in itself wasn't there. I ended up skimming the last bit of the book to see if there had been any growth, but I'm not sure it happened.
