My Review:

If you're looking for a book to settle in with on a rainy day (or a day when you don't have work for no apparent reason) then you should pick this one up. It's short, sweet, and will mostly make you smile just thinking about Bookstore Boy. 

I'm getting ahead of myself. 

Hannah is a college freshman who just bombed her first test and is feeling pretty low...then it starts to rain. She meets Ben when she ducks into the bookstore he works in, hence the nickname "Bookstore Boy". 

I love that they meet each other fairly on in the book and that the meeting is pretty adorable. Hannah tells Ben that she doesn't read (WHAT KIND OF PERSON IS SHE?!) and so he immediately rectifies, you know, her life. That fact that he started off with The Book Thief made me swoon and Hannah's reaction to reading it is perfection. 

The way their relationship builds is adorable. One of my least favorite things about YA/NA books is the instantaneous love that characters have for each other, but Amanda writes this relationship very well. It's nice that we get to see if from both sides too. 

Ben's POV is interesting because he actually isn't that interested in Hannah at first. He's so wrapped up in Alex, his coffee-shop-future-lawyer, that he can't see how Hannah is seriously falling for him and his books. 

Eventually it works out for them and cuteness ensues. The moments they have together are seriously sweet. Andalso, most of their moments are full of books and I just love those. 

The story had its fair share of drama, but I don't think it took away from the love story. The scenes with Ben's dad were the hardest for me to get through. I hated the way Ben's father treated, but also the way he reacted to it. Of course, I appreciated that Hannah and Ben brought out a sort of strength in each other and helped each other through difficult family times. 

I spent most of the morning stuck inside Prometheus Books with Hannah, Ben, and crew...it was a pretty decent way to spend my day.
